How Selftale uses cookies
We group cookies and similar storage into three categories: essential, functional, and analytics. Essential cookies are required for the Service to work. Others help us improve the experience or measure usage.
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for core features such as sign-in, cart persistence, and regional pricing. The Service cannot function properly without them.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| token | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session / up to 30 days | Essential |
| cartId | Remembers items in your shopping cart | Up to 30 days | Essential |
| country | Stores your selected country for pricing and shipping | Up to 1 year | Essential |
| countryIso | Stores your country code for regional settings | Up to 1 year | Essential |
| ncc_c | Remembers that you made a cookie choice | Up to 180 days | Essential |
| ncc_e | Stores which optional cookie categories you accepted | Up to 180 days | Essential |
Functional cookies
Functional cookies support optional features that are not strictly required but improve your experience.

| aff_ref | Stores an affiliate referral code when you arrive via a partner link | Up to 30 days | Functional |
Analytics
Umami Analytics
We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics platform, to understand aggregate traffic and feature usage. Umami is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not use third-party advertising trackers and generally does not rely on invasive cross-site profiling.
Google Tag Manager
In production, we load Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage analytics and marketing tags. GTM itself may set cookies, and tags configured inside GTM may set additional cookies or use local storage depending on how those services are configured.
For more about how we use personal data collected through analytics, see our Privacy Policy.
Local storage and PWA data
Your browser may store data locally to speed up the app, cache assets, or support offline features when you install Selftale as a PWA. This data stays on your device unless you clear site data in your browser settings.
Third-party cookies
Some embedded services — such as payment checkout flows or sign-in providers — may set their own cookies when you interact with them. Those cookies are governed by the respective provider’s policies.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block, delete, or limit cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or cart features from working.
- Clear site data — removing Selftale data from your browser signs you out and clears stored preferences.
- Site preferences — open Cookie settings in the site footer, or use Manage cookie preferences on this page.
- Analytics opt-out — browser extensions and privacy tools can limit analytics scripts. Umami is designed to minimize tracking even without extra tools.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add features, change providers, or update legal requirements. Check this page for the latest version and “Last updated” date.
